Marc Funk

Mr. Marc Funk was appointed Recipharm’s Chief Executive Officer in 2021. Recipharm is one of the world’s largest global pharma and biotech CDMO players. Previously, Marc served at Lonza in various roles including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, where he played an important role in elevating quality and operations standards to an industry-benchmark level and realigning the business in order to revolutionize the way drugs are brought to patients. Earlier in his career, Marc was co-founder, co-CEO and General Counsel for the biotech research company GeneProt, which was later transferred to Novartis. Marc holds a Master of Law from the University of Geneva and a Master of Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tuft University in the United States.
